August is here and that means a stack of new content is too! Here are some of the shows on FOX SHOWCASE that you shouldn’t miss this month…..
The Roy family – Logan Roy and his four children – controls one of the biggest media and entertainment conglomerates in the world. Succession tracks their lives as they contemplate what the future will hold for them once their aging father begins to step back from the company. Created by Oscar and WGA nominee Jesse Armstrong (In the Loop), Succession kicks off its second season this August. Set in New York, Succession explores themes of power, politics, money, and family. Logan Roy (Brian Cox), the tough, powerful, aging patriarch, is head of Waystar Royco, a family-controlled international media conglomerate. He is married to his third wife, Marcia (Hiam Abbass), a loving, formidable partner. The Roy family, which includes troubled former heir-apparent Kendall (Jeremy Strong), his outspoken, fun-loving brother Roman (Kieran Culkin), and his savvy but conflicted sister, Shiv (Sarah Snook), jousting for power as they struggle to retain control of their father’s empire. While the future looks increasingly uncertain, it is the past that threatens to ultimately destroy them.

Spencer Strasmore (Dwyane ‘The Rock’ Johnson) and an endearing assortment of colleagues, rivals and pro-football clients return for a brand-new season of HBO’s hit comedy from Steve Levinson (Entourage) that digs deeper into the extravagant, high-stakes, big- money world of football in Miami, FL and beyond.

The new comedy centers around a world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance, greed and charitable work — all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Danny McBride will star as main character Jesse Gemstone, who sees himself as a maverick in the ministry game, taking what his father, Eli Gemstone (John Goodman), has built and expanded it for a more modern audience. In addition to playing Jesse, McBride will also serve as a writer, director and executive producer on the series.

A feature adaptation of Pippa Bianco’s prize-winning short of the same name. A cautionary tale about social media, Share follows 16-year-old Mandy, who, after discovering a disturbing video from a night she doesn’t remember, must figure out what happened — and how to navigate the escalating fallout. Rhianne Barreto leads as Mandy, alongside Charlie Plummer (Boardwalk Empire) as Dylan, Poorna Jagannathan (The Night Of) as Kerri J.C. MacKenzie as Mickey, Nicholas Galitzine as A.J., Lovie Simone as Jenna and Danny Mastrogiorgio as Tony.

WHAT’S MY NAME: MUHAMMAD ALI
Chronicling the extraordinary life of one of the 20th century’s most iconic figures. Directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, Southpaw, The Magnificent Seven, The Equalizer franchise) with LeBron James and Maverick Carter serving as executive producers, What’s My Name | Muhammad Ali explores Ali’s challenges, confrontations, comebacks and triumphs through recordings of his own voice. The two-part documentary paints an intimate portrait of a man who was a beacon of hope for oppressed people around the world and, in his later years, was recognised as a global citizen and a symbol of humanity and understanding. Alongside using Ali himself to guide viewers through his journey, What’s My Name | Muhammad Ali features archival footage, some of it previously unseen.

The series follows a group of high school students as they navigate love and friendships in a world of drugs, sex, trauma and social media. The series will be executive produced by Drake, along with manager Future the Prince.
Euphoria is an American adaptation of an Israeli show of the same name, and all episodes are written by Sam Levinson (Assassination Nation), who also serves as executive producer. The series will be produced in partnership with A24 (Lady Bird, Random Acts of Flyness, 2 Dope Queens, Pod Save America) and includes executive producers Ravi Nandan, Kevin Turen, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein, Tmira Yardeni, Mirit Toovi, Yoram Mokadi and Gary Lennon. Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin, who created the Israeli series, are also set to executive produce.
The ensemble cast includes actor and singer Zendaya, Storm Reid, Maude Apatow (Girls), Brian “Astro” Bradley, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Hunter Schafer and Sydney Sweeney (Sharp Objects). Created by Sam Levinson.
